Idaho Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards

Teachers in Idaho are expected to align their lessons and units with the Idaho Core (Idaho’s name for the Common Core State Standards), or Idaho Achievement Standards (for Social Studies, Science, Health, P.E.)

Although not officially adopted by Idaho yet, teachers are strongly encouraged to align Science instruction with the Next Generation Science Standards. The Alternate Standards were aligned with the latest Idaho Achievement Standards. A link (left side of webpage) for the current alternate Standards (called Extended Standards) can be found by clicking here. A link for the IPASS page for the Alternate Assessment, with accompanying documents and timelines can be found by clicking here.
